This past week I've received a number of emails about what font I use in some of my Silhouette Store design previews and where to purchase it.

The letters used are ones I created, just for samples previews. A complete font doesn't currently exist. (It's an idea I am considering for the future.) When I created it I wanted something rather simple, so the viewer could envision their own letter and style in the design, and truly personalize it with their own style.
So, for those wondering where/how to get a similar font I wanted to post some suggestions and tutorials.
I do not endorse any of the blogs, their owners, or non-Silhouette products, nor do I endorse those sites' content, their security, or receive any financial or any other other benefit from them. The links are simply offered as a suggested educational resource.
Depending on comfortable you are with Silhouette Studio, I have three different suggestions.
1. The Silhouette Online Store has a number of great low-priced fonts, including monogram style.
This font by Rivka Wilkins, is very similar, and in a circular style.
2. Here is blog called 11 Magnolia Lane with a tutorial on how to use an iPhone app as well as the trace feature in Silhouette to create your own custom monogram. Beyond using your iPhone, there are a number of free monogram generators in a wide variety of style you could also use.

3. Finally, there is a circle monogram tutorial from the Silhouette School. This has a few steps to it, but are broken down piece-by-piece. Best of all, you can truly use ANY FONT you choose! I love you can truly make your creation not only personal, but totally custom!

I hope these suggestions help you make the most out your Silhouette Monogram Frame designs and achieve a truly custom look!
Have a great weekend everyone!
